Under general supervision, provides administrative support for the Director and staff of the Office of University Relations by coordinating departmental administrative operations; maintains purchasing and invoice workflows; maintains supplies/services and merchandise/equipment inventory; manages inventory in departmental storage room; oversees routine copier upkeep and maintenance contract; directs general phone/email inquiries to the appropriate staff member or department; assists in the communication of periodic reviews and procedural matters to other department as necessary; assists in the onboarding of new employees and manages departmental calendars; processes requests for name badges and display assets; annually updates handbooks, plans and departmental lists; coordinates intake and outflow of all departmental shipping and mail; handles administrative/organizational tasks for select university events as required; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Any combination of related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to two years of full-time employment and includes the use of word processing.
