Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Charlotte Hungerford Hospital seeks an administrative assistant to support Outpatient Behavioral Health. You will greet patients and partners, manage check-in, complete registrations, handle charging and payments, and ensure accurate demographic and insurance data.

You will assist with forms, pre-appointment scales, and surveys, contributing to smooth operations and a positive patient experience within a respected regional health network.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field with one or more year's job related experience.
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
• Strong computer skills
• Exceptional organizational skills to support the efficient operation of the department

Responsibilities

• Greet and interface with behavioral health patients and community partners.
• Check-in all patients attending services.
• Complete required registration, charging, and payment collection.
• Assure that patient demographic and insurance information is current.
• Work with patients to complete and sign required forms, permissions, pre-appointment scales, and surveys as assigned.

Job Summary

Will provide administrative support to the Medical, Clinical, and Administrative staff of Outpatient Behavioral Health. This will include performing the critical task of greeting and interfacing with behavioral health patients and community partners. Check-in all patients attending services. Complete required registration, charging, and payment collection for each patient. Assure that patient demographic and insurance information is current. Work with patients to complete and sign required forms, permissions, pre-appointment scales, and surveys as assigned.
