Insight Global is seeking a Software Engineer Lead to be onsite at Scoff AFB. You will design, develop, deploy, and support mission-critical software applications in Linux-based environments, with a strong focus on Python development and REST API design.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage REST API development, JSON parsing/validation, and troubleshooting while mentoring teammates to grow their skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Python software development, including REST API design and development, as well as JSON parsing, generation, and validation.
• Proficiency with distributed version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket for source code management and collaboration.
• Experience developing, deploying, and troubleshooting software applications in Linux environments.
• Mentoring and developing team members, providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and ongoing support to help others grow and succeed.
• Bachelors and 6 years of experience OR 10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Software Engineer Lead to sit fully onsite at Scoff AFB. They will design, develop, deploy, and support mission-critical software applications in Linux-based environments, with a strong focus on Python development. This individual will lead REST API development, JSON parsing and validation, and troubleshoot complex application and system issues. This person will also collaborate with cross-functional teams using Git and Bitbucket for source code management and release activities, while ensuring solutions align with customer requirements and program objectives.

Compensation:

$45/hr to $50/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
