Onyx Point, LLC. is seeking a Software Engineer with an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance to support federal programs. You will develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements, and provide customer support as needed.

The role requires seven years of SWE experience, a CS degree, and strong skills in C++ and Python, plus Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. Remote-friendly with competitive compensation.

Description

The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.

Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Qualifications (Level 1)

Seven (7) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university required.

Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

REQUIRED Technical Skills

• Must have C++ and Python experience
• Python, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm required.

Compensation

We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for our positions vary depending on accepted contractual position skill level. The salary range starts at $140,000 and up per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
