Job summary

Critical Solutions is seeking a Mid-System Engineer (Active Secret) to support a large-scale enterprise network at Pearl Harbor, HI. Responsibilities include diagnosing complex LAN/WAN issues, configuring network gear, and providing Tier III escalation across a multi-location environment.

The role requires DoD security credentials, DoD 8570 IAT Level III certifications, and vendor certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE). On-site work with occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8–12 years of relevant professional experience; or Master's with 6–10 years. Equivalent substitutions may be considered.
• Active Secret security clearance required; Top Secret eligible.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level III certification (e.g., CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security) or equivalent.
• Recognized network vendor certification (Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE).
• Subject matter expertise in BAN/LAN/WAN/WLAN and network boundary engineering.

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex network issues in a dynamic enterprise environment.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (routers, switches, VLANs, APs, firewalls, sensors).
• Provide engineering expertise for one of the world's largest intranets and support Tier III escalation.
• Coordinate with vendors for incident resolution; act as SME across multiple network disciplines.
• Ensure defense-in-depth security across enterprise network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve availability, performance, reliability, and security.
• Document testing, risks, remediation, and deployment recommendations prior to production.
