GDIT is hiring a Systems Administrator in Chesapeake, VA, requiring a Secret clearance. You will patch and administer Windows desktops/servers, troubleshoot outages, and maintain security and configuration documentation. Responsibilities span patching, vulnerability management, and support for classified environments with on-call duties as needed.

The role emphasizes collaboration with ISSM/O, CC B reviews, and data transfer duties, with salary expectations aligned to experience and location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field required.
• 5+ years of related experience with Windows design, installation, admin & maintenance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with business partners, engineering, operations, and vendors.
• Experience automating server builds and standardizing images.
• Ability to prioritize in fast-moving, high-pressure environments; strong ownership.

Responsibilities

• Patch desktops/servers, install/configure software, hardware, and networks.
• Respond to service outages, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues.
• Monthly Microsoft patching and WSUS server maintenance.
• Participate in Configuration Control Board and document changes.
• Conduct monthly vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation.
• Assist in scripting, light programming, or project management for systems projects.
• On-call after-hours support may be required; manage access permissions.
• Install software, train lesser experienced admins, and enhance server configurations.
