Job summary

Caddell Construction is seeking a Project Safety Manager – Governmental to lead safety on major projects. You will supervise safety programs, develop safe work plans with the Safety Director, and ensure compliance with OSHA/EM385-1-1 and contract requirements across project phases.

You will conduct daily site inspections, safety orientations, and coordinate with owners, subcontractors and field staff while preparing reports and investigations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED with five years of safety management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and team interactions.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail are critical.
• Working knowledge of OSHA or EM385-1-1 and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements and supervises project safety and ensures compliance with safety programs and contract requirements.
• Develops safe work plans in collaboration with Safety Director and project management.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and conducts daily safety inspections.
• Conducts safety orientations for new hires and liaises with owners, subcontractors and others.
• Prepares and submits safety reports and conducts post-accident investigations.
• Performs additional assignments per project leadership and may travel to sites.
