Medium is hiring a Network Technician to support the mission at Hanscom Air Force Base. This role involves configuring and troubleshooting Cisco/Juniper networks, maintaining network topology, and ensuring compliance with DoD directives. Candidates must have strong network debugging skills, a TACLANE certification, and a related degree or equivalent experience. A Secret Security Clearance is also required. This position supports emergency operations and requests flexibility with hours, including potential weekend work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Network role.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs is required.
• Secret Level DoD Security Clearance is required.

Responsabilités

• Manage and maintain a converged Gigabit Ethernet network.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure.
• Interface with vendors for warranty claims and tech updates.
• Research technical issues and develop solutions.
• Support emergency operations on an as needed basis 24/7.

Connaissances

TACLANE certified

Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper routers/switches

Network troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of DHCP, NMS, Cisco ISE, Wireshark

Strong understanding of Layer 3 & Layer 2 protocols

Critical thinking skills

Associate degree in IT, Mathematics or Computer Science

DoD 8570 Certification, CompTIA Security+ certification
