Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to join a Federal Program located at Pearl Harbor, HI. The engineer will support a large-scale enterprise network with LAN/WAN/WLAN, routing, switching, and security, acting as Tier III escalation and SME across multiple teams.

Qualified candidates will have DoD experience, active Secret clearance, SAFe/JIRA familiarity, and hands-on experience with Arista/Cisco, Ansible, and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with required experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level III certification (CASP+/CISSP/CCNP Security).
• Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent vendor certification.
• Experience with BAN/LAN/WAN/WLAN and Network Boundary engineering.
• Experience supporting 16,000+ devices across 450+ locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to identify, troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex network issues.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, and APs.
• Provide Tier III escalation and SME support across multiple teams.
• Create and manage change tickets and EIPs for network deployments.
• Track engineering work within SAFe/JIRA and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Ensure configurations comply with DISA STIGs and cybersecurity policies.
