Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a Network Administrator to support a Department of Defense mission in Huntsville, AL. You will set up, configure, operate, and support internal and external networks, systems, and applications alongside an experienced technical team.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree completed and CompTIA A+ certification, plus the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Travel up to 10% may be required and the position is contingent upon contract award.

Ability to troubleshoot basic network, hardware, software, and system issues.

Responsibilities

Set up, configure, operate, and support internal and external networks.
Maintain network, system, application, and security configurations.
Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
Install and support network hardware, software, patches, and system updates.
Recommend upgrades, patches, applications, and equipment to improve reliability and performance.
Provide technical support and guidance to system users.
Assist with backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
Document network configurations, system changes, troubleshooting activities, and procedures.
Support cybersecurity and configuration-management requirements for the DoD environment.
Coordinate with other technical personnel to resolve issues.
