Job summary

Serco is seeking a Network Administrator to support a DoD mission in Huntsville, AL. You will maintain networks, systems, and applications, work with a technical team, and help ensure system availability. A Bachelor’s degree, CompTIA A+, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.

The role involves troubleshooting, patching, backups, and documentation, with up to 10% travel. Contingent upon contract award and security clearance.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot basic network, hardware, software, and system issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, operate, and support internal and external networks.
• Maintain network, system, application, and security configurations.
• Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Install and support network hardware, software, patches, and system updates.
• Recommend upgrades, patches, and equipment to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to system users.
• Assist with backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Document configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Support cybersecurity and DoD configuration-management requirements.
• Coordinate with other technical personnel to resolve issues.
