Job summary

Serco Inc. in Huntsville, AL seeks a Network Administrator to join a technical team supporting a DoD mission. You will set up, configure, monitor, and secure networks and related systems, coordinating with cybersecurity and other IT staff to ensure availability and compliance.

You will work on troubleshooting, backups, and disaster recovery, with travel up to 10% and a requirement to maintain a Secret clearance. A Bachelor's degree is expected, with an Associate's as an added qualifier.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree completed in a related field.
• CompTIA A+ certification is required or completed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic network, hardware, software, and system issues.
• Position is contingent upon contract award; up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, operate, and support internal and external networks.
• Maintain network, system, application, and security configurations.
• Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Install and support network hardware, software, patches, and system updates.
• Recommend upgrades to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to system users.
• Assist with backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Document configurations, changes, troubleshooting activities, and procedures.
• Support DoD cybersecurity and configuration-management requirements.
• Coordinate with other technical personnel to resolve issues.
