Job summary

SOS International is looking for Arabic, Bengali and Chinese Cantonese Linguists to support communication tasks requiring translation and interpretation services. The position involves monitoring and translating various communication intercepts as dictated by government requirements.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree, maintain a Secret security clearance, and exhibit fluency in the relevant languages with excellent English skills. The role operates mainly in Chantilly, Virginia.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
• Ability to listen to, comprehend, and translate languages.
• Successfully pass a language assessment in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform various linguistic functions and duties during shifts.
• Translate and summarize communication intercepts.
• Prepare and validate translations and transcripts.

Skills

Fluency in Arabic, Bengali and Chinese Cantonese

Excellent command of the English language

Typing skills (minimum 40 wpm)

Ability to understand slang and colloquial expressions

Ability to work under pressure
