Job summary

Akima Mission Optimization (AMO) in Orlando, FL is seeking experienced Web Developers to support NAWCTSD with full-stack development across frontend and backend applications. Candidates should be proficient in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, and CSS, and familiar with RESTful APIs and DevOps practices.

This position is contingent upon contract award and funding; US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required before starting work.

Qualifications

• US citizen with Secret clearance or ability to obtain one prior to start
• Degree in IT/CS/CE/Software Eng with web design & development focus
• Experience with frontend & backend web development using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL & CSS
• Experience designing, developing, or integrating RESTful APIs and backend services
• Working knowledge of SQL databases (queries, schema design, data integration)
• Git-based version control experience (branching, merging, collaboration)
• Experience writing clean, well-documented code with testing in Linux environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with Linux command-line or Bash scripting
• Experience with Agile development and Jira

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and maintains websites, web apps, and databases
• Ensures code is structured and browser/ device compatible
• Optimizes performance and server-side code
• Integrates websites with other applications and builds infrastructure
• Designs user-friendly interfaces and navigation across browsers
• Utilizes web frameworks and client-side coding to improve UX
