Job summary

Akima Mission Optimization (AMO), an Akima company, seeks an experienced Web Developer to support NAWCTSD in Orlando, FL. The role covers full-stack development with frontend and backend work, plus familiarity with DevOps practices. Clearances may be required to begin work, and funding is contingent.

You will build and maintain websites and applications, optimize performance, and design intuitive interfaces. Collaboration across teams and adherence to industry standards are essential for success.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret clearance prior to start.
• B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering with Web Design & Development specialization.
• Minimum 3 years of web development experience with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, and CSS.
• Experience designing, developing, or integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases, queries, schema design, and data integration.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control, including branching, merging, and collaboration.
• Experience writing, updating, and maintaining efficient, testable, well-documented code.
• Basic familiarity with Linux environments, command-line operations, or Bash scripting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and maintains websites, web applications, and application databases.
• Ensures code is properly structured and adheres to industry standards across browsers and devices.
• Optimizes website performance, scalability, and server-side code and processes.
• Integrates websites with other applications and develops website infrastructure.
• Designs user-friendly interfaces, navigation, and layouts for cross-browser compatibility.
• Utilizes web frameworks and client-side coding to enhance user experience.
