Job summary

ClearBridge Technology Group is seeking a Secret Cleared Full Stack Software Engineer for a full-time role near the Baltimore/Washington, DC metro area. The position supports development, modernization, testing, and sustainment of secure mission software across Java and JavaScript stacks, with 85% remote work and periodic in-person collaboration.

The ideal candidate has strong Java and JavaScript/TypeScript skills, full-stack experience, and DoD eligibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Java development experience with legacy codebases and modernization.
• JavaScript experience with modern UI development; TypeScript preferred.
• Full-stack development across UI, API/services, integration, and DB persistence.
• Experience with REST APIs, XML/JSON, messaging and data exchange formats.
• SQL and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server/Oracle).
• Experience in Linux and Windows environments.
• Git-based workflows, code reviews, and PR processes.
• Experience with testing and defect resolution; familiarity with Jira/Confluence/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize secure mission software across Java and JavaScript applications.
• Build and maintain UI, backend services, APIs, and integration components.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure automated testing and deployment support.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment activities for production systems.
