Job summary

Astrion in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Engineering Technician II to support LOCAITS hardware testing and integration at Redstone Arsenal. The role requires hands-on experience with electronics/instrumentation and a background in engineering or test operations for military hardware.

You will install, operate, and maintain LOCAITS instrumentation, assist the LOCAITS lead engineer with GPS/IMU kits on aerial and ground platforms, and support on-site testing and TDY events as needed.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware.
• One of the two years of experience must be in electronics/instrumentation for military hardware.
• Exceptional customer relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and maintain LOCAITS instrumentation.
• Support the LOCAITS lead engineer in design, installation, production, and deployment of LOCAITS GPS/IMU kits on various aerial and ground vehicles platforms.
• Support both local and TDY test events involving LOCAITS data collection on integrated aviation/weapons systems.
• Install and operate range equipment (cameras, intercom, video monitors, fiber, and ethernet cables).
