Job summary

PGTEK is seeking an experienced Secret-cleared Cloud Services Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure, scalable infrastructure across hybrid and cloud environments, with deep VMware NSX-T expertise.

The role is hybrid, requires residence within 90 miles of specified cities, onsite about 25% and close collaboration with security, architecture, and application teams to deliver highly available solutions.

Qualifications

• Current active Secret clearance or higher required.
• 5+ years in infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud engineering.
• Hands-on production experience with VMware NSX-T.
• Advanced knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Strong networking knowledge: routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, BGP, OSPF.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and administer VMware NSX-T environments.
• Build secure hybrid cloud architectures integrating on-prem and public clouds.
• Troubleshoot networking and virtualization across multi-site environments.
• Perform lifecycle management including upgrades and patching.
• Automate deployment with PowerCLI, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Develop technical docs and runbooks.
