Job summary

PGTEK is seeking an experienced Secret-cleared Cloud Services Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure, scalable infrastructure across hybrid and cloud environments. This hands-on engineer thrives on solving complex networking and virtualization challenges in enterprise settings.

The hybrid role requires residence within 90 miles of Oklahoma City, OK, Ogden, UT, Mechanicsburg, PA, or Montgomery, AL, with an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance or higher is required.
• 5+ years in infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud engineering.
• Hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T.
• Advanced knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, BGP, and OSPF.
• Experience supporting enterprise or hybrid cloud environments.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and administer VMware NSX-T environments.
• Implement and support VMware vSphere infrastructure (ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA/DRS).
• Build secure hybrid cloud architectures integrating on-premises with public cloud.
• Troubleshoot networking and virtualization issues across multi-site environments.
• Perform lifecycle management including upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, and application teams.
• Automate deployment and configuration using PowerCLI, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
