Job summary

PGTEK is seeking a Private Cloud Build Engineer to deploy, integrate, and maintain private cloud infra in classified environments across Mechanicsburg, PA and Ogden, UT. The role requires a 50/50 split between a client site and travel to other locations, with a focus on data center virtualization and secure infrastructure.

Candidates must hold an active Secret clearance and have hands-on experience with hypervisors, SDN/SDS, container platforms, and multi-cloud integration.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization hypervisors (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
• Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Software-Defined Storage (SDS).
• Proficiency with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain private cloud infrastructure, primarily using HPE hardware.
• Install, patch, and manage virtualization software and supporting systems.
• Integrate identity, access management, and security policies across multi-vendor environments.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to assess vulnerabilities and implement remediations.
• Evaluate and implement new tools to enhance cloud platform capabilities.
• Provide customer-facing support to deliver a smooth, user-centered private cloud experience.
• Develop documentation and operational processes to support scalability and long-term maintenance.
