A consulting firm is seeking a Budget Analyst – Junior to Senior – Secret Cleared to support a Navy customer in San Diego, CA. This position involves monitoring and reporting on budget obligations, supporting financial forecasting, and preparing documentation for leadership review. Candidates with 3 to 10+ years of experience in financial analysis and federal budgeting are encouraged to apply. A bachelor's degree and a secret clearance are requirements for this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis or budget support for Junior role.
• 6+ years of federal budgeting or financial management for Journeyman role.
• 10+ years of federal financial management or DoD budget experience for Senior role.
• Secret clearance is required (US Citizenship).

This role supports a Navy customer in San Diego, CA.

Job Description and Responsibilities: Budget Analyst supports Comptroller Department and Fleet Support Teams with budget formulation, execution, and financial reporting.

• Monitor, reconcile, and report on budget obligations and expenditures.
• Support development of financial forecasts and spend plans.
• Prepare budget documentation and metrics for leadership review.
• Maintain financial data in Navy ERP and local business tools.
• Support planning, programming, and financial reporting for multiple fund types (O&MN, APN, WCF, FMS).
  
  

Basic Requirements: A Junior has 3+ years of experience in financial analysis or budget support. A Journeyman has 6+ years of federal budgeting or financial management experience. A senior has 10+ years of federal financial management or DoD budget experience.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

Security Clearance: Secret (must be a US Citizen)

Telework and Travel: On- Site. <5% Travel
