Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a skilled audit professional to serve as a primary liaison for federal auditors, coordinating requests, evidence, meetings, and follow-up actions to secure timely issue resolution. You will analyze findings, design CAPs/MAPs, and create dashboards and exec reports to track remediation progress.

The role requires an active SECRET clearance, a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, and 3+ years supporting federal financial statement audits and internal controls.

Qualifications

• ACTIVE SECRET security clearance (maintained)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• 3+ years of experience supporting federal financial statement audits, internal controls, audit readiness, remediation, or related financial management activities

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for auditors, coordinating requests, meetings, evidence submissions, and follow-up actions
• Analyze audit findings, deficiencies, and internal control issues; develop remediation strategies including CAPs and MAPs
• Establish remediation milestones, metrics, and risk tracking through dashboards and executive reports
• Advise stakeholders on audit readiness and compliance requirements; improve audit outcomes
• Support validation and verification activities; review evidence packages for completeness and quality
• Assess business processes and internal controls; recommend improvements for auditability and longevity
• Prepare presentations, status reports, and communications to support leadership decision-making
