Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Edwards AFB, CA seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer (Level 2 or 3) to join a team of qualified, diverse individuals and contribute to testing, design, analysis, manufacture and verification of aircraft Support Equipment.

The role requires CAD proficiency (NX, Pro/Engineer, CATIA) and a flexible schedule, including potential 4x10 or 3x10 shifts, with Palmdale site coverage as needed. Travel to various sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM from an accredited university with 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's with 0 years.
• Experience using CAD software to generate detailed engineering drawings for manufacturing.
• Must have an active US Government Secret clearance (and ability to obtain SAP clearance).

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and conduct test operations of support equipment on and off aircraft.
• Align test targets with flight test org, NGAS test team, RE, and on-site customers.
• Develop test plans and perform environmental testing of support equipment.
• Provide engineering assessment and test results to support equipment management.
