Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to support complex engineering proposals for government and commercial clients. You will develop design and test documentation for IT systems and translate technical information into user-friendly documents.

Role requires ability to obtain a US Secret clearance and strong communication, organization, and collaboration across subject matter experts in a fast-paced environment. Tysons, VA-based position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
• 0+ years' relevant experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and function effectively as a member of a team
• Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and write about complex subject matter
• Excellent time management and organization skills, handling multiple simultaneous projects with stringent deadlines
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people with a variety of skills, experience, and personalities

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and proofread proposal materials in response to client requests and requirements while meeting established schedules and deadlines
• Learn the Federal procurement and contracting process
• Work to develop solutions to the challenges and requirements of some of the largest businesses, organizations, and Federal agencies in the world.
• Create strategies for addressing business challenges and opportunities
• Collaborate with subject matter experts across a range of specialized business units to research and document proposal details and to create winning responses while learning first-hand how work is performed
• Conceptualize graphics, figures, tables, and other presentation techniques to optimize impact of information provided
