Job summary

Digital Consultants LLC seeks a SecOps System Administrator II to join our IT Technology Operations team. The role focuses on securing DoD and federal IT environments through STIG/SCAP compliance, vulnerability management, and automation.

You will work with VMware, SCCM, and GPO, deploying patches, auditing configurations, and creating scripts to streamline daily tasks, while coordinating with leadership and staff on security measures.

Qualifications

• BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of experience with systems administration including DoD accreditation, STIG/SCAP.
• Experience with SCCM package creation and deployment; Windows 10 deployment.
• Familiarity with VMware virtual environments; Top Secret clearance; SCI eligibility; CompTIA Security+CE.

Responsibilities

• Implement STIG releases across operating systems and applications.
• Track and remediate IAVM vulnerabilities.
• Manage ACAS vulnerability reports and remediation.
• Perform software upgrades, patch and firmware upgrades.
• Troubleshoot OS, hardware, network, and software issues; document SOPs.

Responsibilities

Digital Consultants is seeking a SecOps System Administrator II to join our Team! This position is part of the IT Technology Operations division within the NCIS ITD organization and performs the following responsibilities/functions:

• Implement STIG releases across a variety of operating systems and applications
• Tracks and remediates IAVM vulnerabilities
• Manages ACAS vulnerability reports and remediates as required
• Performs software upgrades, patch installs, firmware upgrades
• Diagnosis and troubleshooting of problems related to the OS, hardware, network, and related software
• Daily written and oral communications with coworkers and leadership
• Continual attention to periodic SCAP and STIG requirements is needed to harden the servers
• Troubleshoot and configure servers in a virtual environment using Vsphere
• Create scripts in various shells to automate daily and periodic tasks
• Document work for leadership, update/create Standard Operating Procedures, and brief staff and customers on various task

Requirements

• Education: BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• 3+ years of experience with systems administration:
• DoD system accreditation process
• STIG checklist review process to include SCAP scans and implementation
• Microsoft SCCM package creation and deployment
• Group Policy Management administration to include policy creation and maintenance
• Familiarity with Windows 10 including deployment via SCCM / standalone options.
• Previous exposure with VMware virtual environments
• Certification: CompTIA Security+CE
• Clearance: Top Secret; must be SCI eligible
