Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of Office 365, Google Docs, Flipgrid and database software used in the department.
• Knowledge of instructional and tutoring practices for developing writing skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management; able to meet deadlines and deliver results.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple writing initiatives.
• Ability to analyze data, summarize findings, and write reports.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments for student writing and analyze CCPS writing data.
• Identify students for emerging and advanced writing opportunities.
• Advise, coach and document student progress in writing development.
• Provide instructional and technical support on strategies, software, databases, and tutorials supporting writing.
• Collaborate with student writers to establish voice and self-confidence; give practical feedback.
• Organize schoolwide writing workshops, parent nights and student writing publications.
