Job summary

Townsville Catholic Education seeks a passionate Secondary Teacher (Hospitality and Technologies) for a full-time fixed-term role commencing 18 January 2027 and concluding 3 December 2027, with Part Time considerations.

The successful applicant will hold tertiary qualifications and registration (or eligibility) with the Queensland College of Teachers, plus a Trainer and Assessor qualification and a Certificate II in Hospitality.

Salary Range: $86,600 - $124,725 per annum pending experience + Super

We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Secondary Teacher (Hospitality and Technologies) with tertiary qualifications and registration (or eligibility) with the Queensland College of Teachers. The successful applicant will need to hold a Trainer and Assessor qualification and a Certificate II in Hospitality. The position is a Full Time, Fixed Term position commencing on 18 January 2027 and concludes on 3 December 2027. Part Time, Fixed Term applications will also be considered.

You’ll join a supportive team of committed teachers who work together in partnership with the parent community to create the best possible learning experience for every student. Your understanding of contemporary teaching practices, and your ability to adapt and support a diverse range of learners, will help every child feel included, valued, and confident.

In your classroom, you’ll spark curiosity and a love of learning by designing engaging lessons, setting clear expectations, and continually reflecting on your practice to keep improving. You’ll use a range of assessment tools to understand each student’s progress, celebrate their growth, and give meaningful feedback that helps them thrive.
