The role reports to the Manager of Secondary Operations and involves overseeing daily operations, training staff, and coordinating shift communications. The successful candidate will monitor quality, develop procedures, ensure safety compliance, and participate in continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities

Job description

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full‑time Secondary Supervisor on day shift who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location. This person will report to the Manager of Secondary Operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall day to day operations of his/her cost centers.
• Actively participate in the training and evaluation of his/her employees.
• Provide daily and shift to shift communications.
• Yearly performance reviews of employees.
• Responsible for monitoring the quality and performance objectives of their departments.
• Develop and write procedures.
• Ensure that all employees under their direction are informed of and adhere to all pertinent company rules, policies and regulations and obtain interpretations when necessary.
• Administers details of the labor agreement between the company and local 502.
• Recommends equipment and manpower needs along with providing input on continuous process improvement projects.
• Administers company safety and related programs as it applies to their departments.
• Ensures that the necessary action is taken to prevent injury and loss.
• Delegates to their employees the responsibility and the authority necessary for the departments to function efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas.

Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
