Job summary

Keystone Powdered Metal Company in Saint Marys, PA is seeking a full-time Primary Operator to work on the 3x3 night shift from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. You report to the Manager of Primary Operations and will operate equipment, adjust settings, and monitor product quality.

You will follow procedures, record measurements, use measuring tools, participate in training, and contribute to continuous process improvement. Keystone is part of Sumitomo Electric Group and has a heritage dating back to 1927.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand procedures, process sheets, etc.
• Able to do basic math calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
• Understand decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc.
• Able to write legible sentences.

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Primary Operator who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location on our 3x3 Schedule on night shift, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. This person will report to the Manager of Primary Operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• To efficiently and safely operate equipment, including the making of satisfactory adjustments to ensure product quality.
• To know and follow procedures applicable to this job classification.
• Legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information.
• Effectively utilize measuring equipment and information obtained from its use to ensure continuation of control conditions.
• Provide active input to continuous process improvement.
• Effectively communicate job related information to co-workers, supervisors, service areas and others with a need to know.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas.
• Provide assistance in writing new or revising old procedures.
• Participate in the training of others and aid in their appraisal.
• Perform other tasks as requested.

Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
