Job summary

Sparta, MI-based manufacturing company seeks a Secondary Operator for 1st and 2nd shifts to support die casting operations. The role offers full-time, evaluation-hire status with shifts that run Monday–Thursday and occasional Fridays, plus overtime as needed.

Secondary Operator Job Summary:

A West Michigan-based company specializing in die casting with over 40 years of manufacturing custom-engineered die cast components is seeking Secondary Operators to join their team in Sparta on 1st and 2nd shifts. Secondary Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate production machinery and cross-train in other areas as needed
• Inspect castings for defects and to comply with customer specifications
• Hand file/grind or deburr die castings

Schedule & Pay:

• 1st shift, Monday - Thursday (5:00am - 3:20pm), and Fridays as needed (5:00am - 1:20pm)
• 2nd shift, Monday - Thursday (3:00pm – 1:20am), and Fridays as needed (1:00pm – 9:20pm)
• $17 - $18.50/HR

Secondary Operator Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to perform basic math, reading, and writing
• Team player who is willing to train in various areas
• Strong attention to detail
• 1 year experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment preferred
