Job summary

Sparta, MI-based manufacturing company seeks a Secondary Operator for 1st and 2nd shifts to support die casting operations. The role offers full-time, evaluation-hire status with shifts that run Monday–Thursday and occasional Fridays, plus overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include operating production machinery, inspecting castings, deburring, completing paperwork, and performing hourly gauge checks. Candidates should be detail-oriented, a team player, and able to train in multiple areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math, reading, and writing.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and cross-train in other areas as needed.
• Inspect castings for defects and to comply with customer specifications.
• Hand file/grind or deburr die castings.
• Complete production paperwork.
• Perform hourly checks using gauges.
• Pack parts according to specification.
• Understand scrap and containment procedures.
• Occasionally perform relief for die cast operators as needed.
