Job summary

Alpine School District's Timpanogos High School seeks a Secondary Math Tutor to support students individually and in small groups for 29 hours per week. This is a non-contract position with an hourly rate of $18.74.

Math proficiency through Secondary Mathematics 3 is required; Spanish is preferred but not required. The tutor will assist licensed teachers, adapt activities, monitor progress, and help with clerical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree or 60 quarter hours/48 semester hours or para pro praxis exam required.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities to reinforce objectives.
• Administers assignments, tests and homework.
• Supports teachers in developing students' learning and social skills.
• Assists in presenting instructional materials and lesson plans.
• Maintains student records and documentation of progress.
• Monitors student performance and reports observations per IEPs.
• Supports students in personal interactions and problem-solving.
• Prepares instructional materials under teacher supervision.
• Supervises students to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Performs related clerical duties as assigned.
