Job summary

Bauer James Inc in Glenview, IL is seeking a dedicated math tutor to support students from elementary through high school, with experience tutoring Algebra 2 and Geometry.

You will set your schedule within our 3–7 pm Mon–Thu and Saturday 10 am–2 pm slots, aiming for 2+ shifts weekly. We handle lesson planning, parent meetings and clerical tasks so you can focus on teaching.

Qualifications

• State-certified teacher with a PEL in Secondary Education (working towards, current, or expired).
• Ability to work 6-10 hours a week between 3-7pm Mon-Thur and/or Saturdays from 10:00am - 2:00pm
• Proficiency in utilizing learning technology to facilitate instruction and improve student engagement.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with diverse learners.
• A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed academically.
• Higher salary for candidates with the ability to teach additional high school subjects including ACT/SAT prep.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized instruction to students across elementary to high school.
• Teach Algebra 2 and Geometry concepts.
• Set your schedule within available hours (3-7pm Mon-Thu; Sat 10am-2pm).
• Handle or support lesson planning and learner progress discussions in collaboration with the team.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate math tutor to join our educational team! The ideal candidate will have experience tutoring or teaching math through at least high school Algebra 2 and Geometry. This role involves working with students of various ages including elementary, middle school, and high school to provide personalized instruction.
