Partnership for Los Angeles Schools seeks a Secondary Math Coach for School Transformation to improve math instruction in Boyle Heights, South Los Angeles, and Watts. The role focuses on coaching teachers, aligning curricula with Common Core, and using data to raise student achievement.

This full-time position works on-site at schools with some office or remote time, supports professional development, and advances the Partnership’s equity and anti-racist goals while fostering teacher growth and

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree and teaching credential required.
• Minimum of 5 years full-time teaching experience in grades K-6/12 and 2 years of school leadership experience.
• Experience designing and leading professional development for adult learners.
• Strong knowledge of Math Common Core standards and instructional shifts.
• Ability to travel between school sites in South Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, and Watts.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and oversee math curriculum materials aligned to Common Core standards.
• Provide PD and coaching to teachers; conduct classroom observations.
• Lead data cycles and maintain trackers for coaching and PD.
• Collaborate with school leaders and Partnership teams to boost instruction.
