Job summary

Jack Link's Protein Snacks in Underwood, IA is seeking a Material Handler for the 3rd shift (Fri–Sun, 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) to perform shipping and receiving tasks and support warehouse operations.

You will operate forklifts and RF scanners, pick orders, maintain inventory, ensure proper labeling, and uphold GMP/HACCP standards while following safety rules. SAP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
  • 1-3 months related manufacturing or food experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of warehouse and lift trucks experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lift trucks.
  • Use RF Scanner (handheld warehouse computer).
  • Accurate and timely selecting of orders.
  • Accurately completing work order sheets.
  • Notify supervisor or FSQ of discrepancies.
  • Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper storing and use.
  • Distribute items received to the appropriate person or department.
  • Daily shipments must be picked, counts verified, pallets wrapped or stacked neatly for pick-ups, marked accordingly.
  • Load finished goods onto trailer within specified timeframe.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of finished products and supplies in the warehouse.
  • Operate forklift safety per OSHA rules.

3rd Shift Hours: Friday - Sunday 5:30a - 6p

The Material Handler is responsible for performing tasks involving the shipping and receiving finished materials.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operating mechanical forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lift trucks.
  • Operating and maintaining RF Scanner (handheld warehouse computer).
  • Accurate and timely selecting of orders.
  • Accurately completing work order sheets.
  • Notify supervisor or FSQ of discrepancies.
  • Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper storing and use.
  • Distribute the items received to the person or department for which the item was ordered.
  • Daily shipments must be picked, counts verified, pallets wrapped or stacked neatly for pick‑ups, marked accordingly to customer, transportation and location of shipment.
  • Load finished goods onto trailer within specified timeframe.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of finished products and supplies in the warehouse.
  • Safety: Operate a Forklift, Pallet Jack, and/or Strait Truck.
  • Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre‑requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s).
  • Cleaning and maintaining warehouse floor and facilities as needed.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
  • Following set company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines at all times.
Qualifications

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred.

Preferred Experience
  • 1‑3 Months related manufacturing or food experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of warehouse and lift trucks experience.
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain, purchasing, materials, and/or Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of SAP.

Additional Information

The starting rate for this role is $20 (Hourly). Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards.
