Job summary

Link Snacks is seeking a Material Handler to manage shipping and receiving of food products in a fast-paced plant environment. You will operate standup forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lifts, accurately select orders, and ensure proper labeling and documentation.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. A High School Diploma or GED is required; SAP knowledge and basic computer skills are a plus, along with dependable attendance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in warehouse or food manufacturing preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lifts safely.
  • Select customer orders accurately and timely.
  • Complete work order sheets and maintain documentation.
  • Unloading and loading trucks; verify deliveries against paperwork.
  • Label and identify products for proper storage and use.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy of finished goods and supplies.
  • Follow GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, and safety rules.

Job Description

The Material Handler is responsible for performing tasks involving the shipping and receiving of food products.

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
Pay - $17.00 per hour
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operating standup forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lift trucks in a safe manner
  • Accurate and timely selecting of customers’ orders
  • Accurately completing work order sheets.
  • Working on both the Receiving and Shipping docks as needed.
  • Unload trucks and validate deliveries against appropriate documentation and notify supervisor or FSQ of discrepancies.
  • Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper storing and use.
  • Distribute the items received to the person or department for which the item was ordered.
  • Daily shipments must be picked, counts verified, pallets wrapped or stacked neatly for pick-ups, marked accordingly to customer, transportation and location of shipment.
  • Load finished goods onto trailer within specified timeframe.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of finished products and supplies in the warehouse.
  • Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s).
  • Cleaning and maintaining warehouse floor and facilities as needed.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
  • Following set company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
Required Education

High School Diploma or GED, preferred.

Preferred
  • Knowledge of warehouse and lift trucks experience.
  • 1+ Months related manufacturing or food experience, preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain, purchasing, materials, and/or Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Working knowledge of computers and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is a plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet / slippery floors. Travel may be required.
