Job summary

Medbio, Inc. in Michigan seeks a capable assistant to the Secondary Ops Manager to help manage production, employees, and flow of parts through manufacturing processes.

You will assign daily duties, ensure compliance with quality systems, perform hourly audits, and support labeling, disposition, and inventory movement in ERP. This role emphasizes safety, productivity, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED plus 1 year of related experience.
  • Associate’s degree may substitute up to 50 percent of this requirement.
  • Able to lift 30 pounds minimum on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Secondary Ops Manager with assigning daily duties to production employees.
  • Ensure quality system procedures and work instructions are adhered to by all personnel.
  • Perform hourly audits to identify and segregate suspect/nonconforming product.
  • Ensure product labeling and ERP dispositioning are timely.
  • Ensure product produced conforms to specified requirements.
  • Relieve Manufacturing Associates during breaks as needed.
  • Track Production Scrap and report findings.
  • Coordinate with Materials to move finished goods to inventory.
  • Maintain Secondary Ops floor cleanliness and safety compliance.
  • Assist with safety and performance policy compliance.
  • Set up and operate Pad Print Machine and Assembly Work Centers.
  • Blend inks and additives to specifications for ink chemistry.
  • Assemble/disassemble ink cups; clean equipment and tools.
  • Change printing plates/transfer pads to meet order specs.
  • Troubleshoot printing issues (mis-registration, adhesion, opacity).
  • Suggest Pad Print Process improvements and support changes.
  • Pack/label boxes and transport to quality assurance area.
  • Input daily earned hours into Production Metrics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Assist the Secondary Ops Manager with managing production, employees, and with the coordination of flow of parts through manufacturing processes.

RANGE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist Secondary Ops Manager with assigning daily duties to production employees.
  • Ensure quality system procedures and work instructions are adhered to by all personnel.
  • Perform hourly audits to ensure suspect/nonconforming product is properly identified and segregated to prevent unintended use or delivery to the customer.
  • Ensure product is properly labeled and dispositioned in the ERP system in a timely manner.
  • Ensure product produced conforms to specified requirements.
  • Assist with the relief of Manufacturing Associates during breaks.
  • Track Production Scrap.
  • Communicate with Materials Department to ensure finished goods is properly moved into assigned inventory location.
  • Maintain Secondary Ops manufacturing floor cleanliness.
  • Assist Secondary Ops Manager in ensuring personnel is compliant with all organization safety and Performance policies.
  • Set up and operate a Pad Print Machine and Assembly Work Centers.
  • Blend inks, catalysts and other additives to specifications to ensure proper ink chemistry is developed and maintained throughout the printing process.
  • Assemble / disassemble ink cups, clean all equipment and tools related to Pad Printing.
  • Change printing plates, transfer pads, etc., as needed to maintain an image that meets the requirements of the order specifications.
  • Troubleshoot printing issues associated with the Pad Printing Process including mis‑registration, adhesion issues, image opacity.
  • Recommend Pad Print Process Improvements and work with management to implement approved changes.
  • Pack and label boxes, and transport them to quality assurance area.
  • Input daily earned hours into Production Metrics and send to Secondary Ops Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned by your management team due to organization and production needs.
