Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks an English Language Facilitator to support EL students across secondary and elementary levels. You will coach teachers, plan with administrators, and promote best practices for language instruction within core subjects.

The role requires Nevada K-8 licensure with TESL endorsement or a related master's and experience coaching teachers in language development, data-informed planning, and collaboration with ELD staff.

Qualifications

Nevada K-8 Teaching Credential; TESL endorsement or master's in TESL or related field.
Three years of classroom or EL classroom teaching experience preferred.
Experience coaching or mentoring teachers and/or school leadership preferred.
Experience delivering professional learning to adult learners preferred.

Responsibilities

Coaches staff to provide explicit English language instruction and differentiation.
Collaborates with EL and general education teachers for sheltered instruction.
Develops learning expectations and multiple opportunities for oral/written language.
Participates in MTSS meetings and analyzes language progress data.
