Qualifications

• Three years of classroom teaching experience
• Three years of instructional leadership experience
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid Mid-Management or Principal certification
• Certified in the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS)
• Bilingual or ESL exam through TEA preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate instruction within classrooms and assess instructional program effectiveness
• Assist in evaluating instructional materials and policies to improve instruction
• Promote teacher involvement in curriculum development and implementation
• Assist in curriculum coordination and balance
• Assist in interpreting grading policies for students
• Maintain a school atmosphere that supports learning
• Coordinate an effective guidance program and coordinate PEIMS
• Assist in developing master schedule and school policies
• Supervise and evaluate assigned staff and select new instructional personnel
• Assist with inventories, budgets, facilities, transportation and cafeteria administration
• Support student management and disciplinary processes
• Promote understanding of the district philosophy and educational program
