Job summary

LDF Sales & Distributing, Inc. is hiring for a Second Shift Material Handler in Wichita, KS. The role supports outbound operations and warehouse activities, reporting to the warehouse supervisor.

The entry-level position provides a pathway to higher material handler roles within 18 months while offering full-time hours and a benefits package. Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old with forklift certification, basic PC skills, and good written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Flexibility to perform various roles within a single shift.
• Demonstrates competent skills in shift-specific operations and forklift operation.
• Basic PC skills to perform tasks in WMS systems.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Understands company policies, procedures and operations.
• Completes company training programs.

Responsibilities

• Learn all LDF warehouse standard practices and assist manager with enforcement of those practices.
• Achieve productivity standards to meet operational budgets.
• Meet critical timing to satisfy customer and internal needs.
• Perform basic warehouse tasks including receiving, storage and order fulfillment.
• Ensure safety regulations and guidelines are observed.
• Demonstrate competency in WMS systems (VIP/CirrusTech).
• Deliver inventory accuracy through proper methods and FIFO rotation.
• Maintain a clean, organized work space with 5S principles.
