Job summary

GEODIS is hiring a Warehouse Service II Technician for the second shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30pm–12:30am) in Columbus, OH. The role analyzes equipment, performs repairs, and conducts scheduled maintenance to ensure reliable operations.

You will work with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, read schematics, and operate lifts and cranes. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment experience.
• Experience with forklift repair.
• Technical or mechanical training/certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and use diagnostic tools.
• Ability to safely operate power tools, lifts, hoists, hydraulic jacks and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and diagnose equipment problems and breakdowns.
• Recommend service and repair actions to resolve performance problems.
• Perform repairs or modifications as needed.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and document service calls.
• Follow safety procedures and dispose of hazardous waste properly.
• Maintain company service vehicles and inventory.
• Provide necessary tools and keep work area clean and hazard-free.
• Other duties as assigned.
