Job summary

Merchants Market Group is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the Second Shift (2:00 pm to 11:00 pm). The role handles receiving, storing and distributing food service products in a multi-temperature warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all tasks.

Responsibilities include verifying inbound orders, moving materials to shipping, organizing stock by code, and maintaining a safe facility. Requires at least one year in a warehouse setting and comfort with ambient and refrigerated environments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience.
• At least one year of previous experience in warehouse environments.
• Ability to work in an ambient and refrigerated environment, which can range from ninety to zero degrees
• Working knowledge of warehouse processes.
• Prior warehouse experience, preferably in a food distribution environment.
• Strong attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Receives and verifies inbound vendor orders from company purchase orders.
• Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to a predetermined sequence: size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Develops inventory product knowledge.
• Ensures the warehouse is accessible and safe for staff and customer traffic.
• Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.
