Job summary

Apex Mills Corporation is seeking a Threader for the 2nd shift at our Graham, NC mill. You will thread yarn into knitting machines, read spec sheets and thread charts, and ensure smooth operation with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include tape-out of warps, installing bars, sleying yarn, and assisting knitters. We offer comprehensive benefits and room for advancement with a starting rate of $14/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand spec sheets and thread charts.
• Ability to tape out warps on beam and machine sley points.
• Thread and install bars, inspect for worn parts.
• Stand/walk for 8 hours daily.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Punctuality and good attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand spec sheets and thread charts.
• Tape out warps on the beam and machine sley points.
• Thread and install bars back into the knitting machine.
• Remove knitting bars, clean and grease bearings; identify worn parts.
• Sley yarn.
• Assist Knitters when needed.
• Accurately fill out production tickets.
• Recognize quality problems to minimize downtime.
• Maintain housekeeping in the knitting room.
