Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat, the nation's premier designer and builder of nuclear submarines, seeks an Operations Supervisor (OSM) to oversee daily production and workforce at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI. This second shift role requires leadership, organization, and a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

The candidate will coordinate tasks, set daily goals, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement in methods and processes, ensuring on-time, first-time quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of related Electric Boat experience or related engineering degree preferred.
• 3+ years of combined, relevant, high-volume experience and leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily assignments of employees to maximize performance, efficiency, and quality.
• Organize and assign work to hourly employees to meet safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives.
• Set and measure daily production goals; mentor, motivate, and hold crew accountable.
