Job Description

Second Shift Slitter Operator
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an experienced Second Shift Slitter Operator for a company based in Marietta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for machine set-up, measuring materials, and other related duties in a fast-paced warehouse setting. This is a long-term opportunity offering hands-on experience and additional training for career growth in a supportive work environment.
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours: Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and/or tend to machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal.
• Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers/tape measures.
• Set stops on machine beds and adjust components when making multiple or successive passes.
• Start machines, monitor their operations, and record data.
• Examine completed workpieces for defects.
• Monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to verify machines are working properly.
• Additional related job duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous slitter machine experience is required.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to understand and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Drug screening and background checks are required.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted (in-office lifting assessment required).
