Job Description

Second Shift Slitter Operator Assistant
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an experienced Second Shift Slitter Operator Assistant for a company based in Marietta, Georgia. This position involves assisting slitter machine operators with daily tasks including material handling, basic machine support, quality checks, and general upkeep of the work area. This is a long-term opportunity with hands-on training and potential for growth in a supportive work environment.

Pay Rate
$18.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Second Shift Slitter Operator Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist Slitter Operators with machine setups and daily production tasks.
2. Load and unload materials and finished products.
3. Perform basic quality inspections using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
4. Help monitor machine operation and communicate any issues to the operator or supervisor.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
6. Support with material staging and packaging of finished goods.
7. Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
8. Additional related job duties as assigned by management.

Second Shift Slitter Operator Assistant Qualifications and Requirements

1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
2. 1-2 years of experience in a metal manufacturing or metal warehouse environment.
3. Ability to read and use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.).
4. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new tasks.
5. Good communication and teamwork skills.
6. Drug screening and background checks are required.
7. Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted (in-office lifting assessment required).
