Job summary

Mazzella is hiring for a Second Shift production role in Alabama. Independently perform duties to produce a complete line of sewn products following company methods, standards and work instructions, prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include interpreting fabrication tickets, selecting materials, setting up and operating sewing equipment, and ensuring products meet quality standards. Candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs and possess basic math and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED; trade school preferred.
  • Experience in sewing or a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Solid verbal communication skills required.
  • Basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Select appropriate thread, material and equipment to produce sewn products.
  • Set up, operate, adjust and maintain sewing machinery and equipment.
  • Attach proper tags and labels to products.
  • Count, record and report inventory as required.
  • Produce sewn products and assemblies meeting QA standards.
  • Move and handle materials safely.
  • Report defective or substandard material or products.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area per safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
