Qualifications

• Experience as a Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Fleet Technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on trailer repair and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of brake, suspension, hydraulics, electrical systems and DOT requirements.
• Ability to use shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding/fabrication tools.
• Ability to lift, move, and work with heavy equipment and trailer components.
• Commitment to safe work environment and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on trailers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine trailer servicing.
• Repair or replace brake systems, suspensions, axles, landing gear, and wheel-end components.
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, wiring, and electrical components.
• Complete frame, body, and structural repairs, including welding and fabrication.
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with standards.
• Use diagnostic tools and repair manuals to identify issues and document work orders.
