Mill River Unified Union School District is seeking a dependable full-time school custodian starting in the 26-27 school year. The position supports a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff in North Clarendon, VT.

The role is second shift, afternoons/evenings, with an 8-hour schedule and pay of $18.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience. Location is in-person at Mill River facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk and bend for extended periods.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices and common areas.
• Perform floor care: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and buffing.
• Empty trash and recycling and ensure proper disposal; follow protocols.
