Allied Printing Services, Inc. in Manchester, CT, is seeking a Roll Tender for the Web Pressroom on the 2nd shift.

You will load, mount, and prepare paper rolls, perform webbing and splicing, monitor roll performance, and assist press operators to keep production running smoothly. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, mechanical aptitude, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and experience with material handling in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial machinery.
• Ability to lift and maneuver paper rolls weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Experience in manufacturing material handling.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining print quality.

Responsibilities

• Load, mount, and prepare paper rolls onto web presses according to production specifications.
• Perform webbing and splicing to ensure continuous press operation.
• Monitor paper roll performance throughout production runs and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect rolls for damage or imperfections prior to loading.
• Assist press operators with setup, maintenance, and production needs.
• Maintain accurate records of material usage, press downtime, and production runs.
• Remove and replace finished rolls, ensuring correct labeling and storage.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of press and surrounding areas.
